Morgan thanks area that 'shaped me politically'

Eluned Morgan embraced her supporters in the Ely area of Cardiff, from which she hails, as she celebrated becoming Welsh Labour's first female leader.

She thanked people, saying it had been a "very long journey" to reach this "historic day".

"This is the place where my values are from, this is the place that shaped me politically," she said.
