King Charles cuts his birthday cake during Wales visit

King Charles cut a birthday cake shaped like Merthyr Tydfil's Cyfarthfa Castle marking his 77th birthday on Friday.

He visited the 200-year-old landmark accompanied by Queen Camilla where they met local cultural figures, including Ruth Jones, co-star and co-writer of BBC hit comedy Gavin and Stacey.

The couple also met crowds sheltering under umbrellas from Storm Claudia during the royal visit.
