CCTV captures fox and otter’s tour of Lincoln
CCTV cameras in Lincoln have captured a fox and an otter running around the city's streets.
The two animals were seen wandering around Brayford Pool and the High Street areas in the early hours.
City of Lincoln Council said the footage resembled a Christmas advert and showed "an unlikely friendship blossoming".
It is not clear from the footage where the animals had come from or what they were doing.
Steve Nichol, the chief executive of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, in Boston, described the scenes as "strange" and said they had to be seen to be believed.
"It's so odd and those animals would never been seen hunting in the same areas. If anything they'd be fighting each other rather than walking around the shops.
"You might see the odd fox around a city centre but to find an otter in a populated area is highly unusual."
