“Not all heroes have capes”
When Helen Gardner tripped and fell into a river while on a dog walk, she did not know how she would get back to dry land.
The 62-year-old hit her head, injuring her skull, with a bleed on the outside of her brain and concussion.
But 14-year-olds Aiden and Jacob heard her cries and came to her rescue, pulling her from the the River Ogmore near Aberkenfig, Bridgend county
Reuniting with them with a hug, she said: “Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart."
