From Airdrie Town Hall to the Royal Opera House - and back again

Reece Clarke was four years old when he first performed at Airdrie Town Hall.

Now, the 29-year-old is returning to his hometown for a special performance as the Royal Ballet's principal dancer.

"The stage seemed a lot bigger back then," he says.

Reece left Scotland at 11 years old to train with his brothers at the Royal Ballet School in London - the first time in history that four boys from the same family trained there.

He said that the performance is a "big thank you" to the Airdrie community who were "so supportive" of him and his brothers.

"I've not performed in Scotland at all as a professional dancer," Reece added. "It's so special to be back."
