Moment sailors are rescued as Hurricane Debby hits Florida
More than 200 water rescues have been conducted in Florida as Hurricane Debby made landfall, including one rescue carried out by the US Coast Guard when a boat lost sail as the storm touched down.
Video shoes the moment two sailors had to be airlifted from the boat as it was rocked by high winds and waves.
The weather system strengthened into a Category One hurricane late on Sunday and came ashore near Steinhatchee on Monday morning, said the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
It is now expected to move slowly across the state, packing 80mph winds and dumping as much as 30in (76cm) of rain as it moves north.
