Wildfire ravages historic California gold rush town destroying homes
A fast-moving wildfire scorched the historic gold rush town of Chinese Camp in California, destroying at least five homes and prompting urgent evacuations. The blaze was sparked by lightning and fire crews battled the flames with fire engines and aircraft. No injuries or fatalities have been reported, according to CalFire.
