Watch: Down's syndrome teen lands skydive dream

A teenage marathon runner barred from a charity skydive event because he has Down's syndrome has made a jump after all.

Lloyd Martin, 19, could be seen clapping his hands and smiling as he parachuted back to Earth with an instructor at a skydiving centre in Northamptonshire on Wednesday.

His mum, Ceri Hooper, 54, from Cardiff, said people should be taken for "who they are and not for their disability" after another skydiving company expressed "fears" in June about how Lloyd would react.

"I think he is still a little shell-shocked but he keeps watching the footage and reliving it," she said of Lloyd, who holds a Guinness World Record for being the youngest person with his specific disability to complete a marathon.
