Gillard on the attack in Australia sexism row
Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has launched a spirited attack on the leader of the opposition, accusing him of misogyny and sexism.
Speaking in the Australian parliament, she criticised the behaviour and history of Tony Abbott, and suggested that he had issues with women in authority.
The exchange came shortly after the resignation of the Australia's parliament speaker, Peter Slipper, following accusations of sexual harassment by a former staff member.
