New Zealand: Jacinda Ardern's last day as prime minister

Before handing over to Chris Hipkins, Jacinda Ardern attended an annual gathering of politicians and Maori elders in Rātana.

It was her last official act as prime minister of New Zealand.

Ardern said: "I’m ready to be a backbench MP, I’m ready to be a sister and a mum”.
