Guernsey buses undergo 500 repairs

  • Published

More than 500 repairs have been necessary to keep Guernsey's 41 buses on the road in the past three months.

Problems caused a number of delays and cancellations, resulting in a slimmed-down service between May and July.

Repairs have included three gearbox changes, one engine replacement and essential maintenance to steering, brakes and body work.

Island Coachways managing director Hannah Beacom said the age of the fleet was the primary reason for the issues.
