One in four fast ferries between the UK and Channel Islands are late, according to figures released by Condor Ferries.

The figures for April, May and June show 76% of journeys to and from the UK were made within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time.

In the same period the company's fast ferries to France and the conventional UK ferry made 87% of journeys on time.

The company said in those three months just 26 of its 1,343 passenger sailings had been cancelled.
