Guernsey education report release delayed

The release of a review of Guernsey's education standards has been delayed by the island's Policy Council.

The Mulkerrin Report was set to be released to the public on 11 January, but was put back to 13 January.

It was commissioned in the wake of poor GCSE results at two of the island's secondary schools, and was discussed by the Policy Council on Monday.

The group said the delay would give the Education Department a chance to read the report ahead of its release.
