Guernsey States review debate date is set

A call for a review of the way Guernsey is governed will be debated by the States before April's election.
Deputy Matt Fallaize placed a motion calling for a special States Committee to be set up to carry out the study.
The motion, calling for a comprehensive review of the structure and functions of the legislature and government, has been signed by a total of 23 deputies.
If approved the review would include a consultation, involving both States members and the public.
If passed it would not begin until after the election.
It has been included in the agenda for the March meeting, which is due to start on Tuesday, 6 March.
