CT Plus 'confident' over Guernsey bus contract
- Published
The chief executive of the company in negotiations over Guernsey's bus contract says he is confident of being able to start operations in April.
Dai Powell, from CT Plus, said: "The negotiations have taken a bit longer than we would have liked, but it's all going on track."
The group was chosen as the preferred operator by the Environment Department, in January.
It comes after current operator, Island Coachways, left renewal talks.
The company agreed an extension of its current contact, which was due to expire at the end of 2011, until the end of March.
CT Plus has advertised for three senior roles and has spoken to current drivers about moving to the firm.
Mr Powell said: "We wouldn't be advertising for the staff if we weren't confident."
