Guernsey official issues warning on Jubilee fireworks

Guernsey's chief health and safety officer has urged people to act responsibly when celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with fireworks.
The States of Guernsey has legalised the sale of fireworks from a number of shops in the run-up to the Jubilee.
However, Richard Brown said those available would be the sort of large fireworks used in formal displays and should be treated with care.
He added that they would need some preparation to set off.
Mr Brown also said residents should be aware of neighbours or animals who may be distressed by firework displays.
