Channel Island flights resume after fog delays

  • Published

Flights between the Channel Islands have resumed after delays were caused by fog and mist.

The poor visibility affected inter-island flights - between Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney - and some to the UK and Europe during the morning and early afternoon.

The mail plane for the Bailiwick of Guernsey arrived on time, but the newspaper plane was cancelled.

The flight from Jersey to Madeira has been delayed until Sunday morning.

It follows delays on Wednesday, which caused hundreds of passengers trying to fly in to Guernsey to be stranded in Jersey or the UK overnight.
