Guernsey bus drivers may strike at weekend over conditions

Guernsey's bus drivers will strike this weekend unless operator CT Plus agrees to improve working conditions, the Unite union has said.
Bob Lanning, of Unite, said concerns about driver shift patterns need to be addressed urgently.
He said plans for changes need to be in place by Thursday.
A spokesman for CT Plus said the company was committed to finding a resolution to the dispute.
He said: "We have been working hard to resolve the issues raised by staff. We are in the process of developing duty cards that reflect changed working conditions, the principles of which were explored during negotiations with staff representatives and the union last week."
While staff continue working to rule, the company is operating a reduced timetable. The spokesman said it hoped to introduce a full scheduled service no later than Monday 1 July.
