Outline plans to develop Admiral Park in Guernsey, have been resubmitted by planners.

Developers Comprop first received permission for plans involving a shop, restaurant, cafe, offices, and a hotel in 2013.

Some nearby residents repeated concerns about increases in traffic and that more car parking needed to be provided.

The outline plans lasts for three years and detailed plans will need to be approved before work can start.

The cinema development could seat up to 650, but the capacity will dependent on its operator.

Steve Marie, managing director of Comprop, said: "We are working very hard to attract tenants to the opportunities presented by the site.

"Our significant investment in Admiral Park will potentially attract business, leisure, entertainment and community facilities to the island, meaning jobs for local residents."
