Guernsey Museums said it was getting ready to launch its latest exhibition that would "transport" visitors around the world.
It said its show 'Amazing creatures - Treasures' would be staged in the Brian White Gallery.
The exhibition will include a selection of the animal specimens from the museum's collection, the States of Guernsey said.
It will be available to view daily from Friday until 15 September.
'Remarkable'
The exhibition is set to feature taxidermy specimens and skeletal material of creatures from the air, land and sea, as well as plaster and glass models.
The museum foyer will feature a display of original insect specimens from the museum's entomology collection.
Matt Harvey, senior curator, said it was the first and largest exhibition in over 30 years to celebrate the museum's "incredible natural history collections".
He said: "Visitors will be able to see specimens from across the globe that have been brought back to the island over the past 150 years by collectors, scientists, travellers, merchants, adventurers, tourists and those in military service."
