Sailings of the Manxman have been delayed by up to an hour due to tidal restrictions in Douglas Harbour

Ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire are facing further disruption due tidal restrictions in Douglas Harbour.

Last week the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company warned sailing times were likely to be affected after soundings investigations discovered silt.

A build up found in the area of the linkspan at King Edward VIII Pier, and low tides, are set to cause delays.

Sailings will be up to an hour behind schedule on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's overnight sailing of the company's newest passenger ferry will set sail early, at 01:00 GMT, instead of 02:15 as scheduled.

It follows the cancellation of last Thursday's daytime sailings and a series of delays due to a freight backlog, strong winds and silting at Heysham Port.

Back-up cargo vessel the MV Arrow had to be drafted in to address a freight backlog.
