There will be no daytime passenger sailings on Saturday

Saturday's daytime ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire have been scrapped due to severe gales.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet said the 08:00 GMT crossing of the Manxman to Heysham and it's Douglas-bound return had been cancelled.

The latest disruption for ferry passengers follows the scrapping of Wednesday evening's and Thursday's daytime services.

It follows a warning of severe gales and heavy rain on Saturday.

Ronaldsway Met Office said winds were expected to strengthen through the day, with gusts reaching up to 65mph (105km/h) in the afternoon.
