The wages of Jersey's States Members may not increase in 2012.

The states remuneration and review body recommended levels of pay for Jersey's politicians remain at £41,182.

However, there are plans to increase expenses allowances by £350, meaning politicians could claim up to £4,000 a year.

The body also said levels of pay would be reviewed again for 2013.
