JT says it will publish 95,000 copies of the phone book

A telecom company has announced it will publish a Channel Island-wide phone book for the first time.

The Jersey government owned operator JT said its next phone book would feature Jersey numbers on one side and Guernsey on the other.

The book will contain all publicly available numbers that are listed across the Channel Islands.

Cable and Wireless, the main carrier in Guernsey, publishes a separate directory for the Bailiwick.

The new JT directory will have two front covers, with a Jersey Live image from Jersey and an ice skating photo from Guernsey.

JT said that 95,000 copies of the directory would be printed, making it the biggest printed annual publication in the islands.

It will be available from May and will also include Yellow Pages business listings from both islands.
