Two fishermen were rescued after their boat sunk off Jersey's south west coast.

The St Helier lifeboat was called out after flares were seen from Noirmont at about 06:40 GMT.

The men were found on a life raft at 07:20 and were taken to the island's General Hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.

The Economic Development Department will investigate the sinking of the locally registered fishing boat.
