A new airlink between the Channel Islands and Luxembourg is set to be trialled in May.

Blue Islands said it would run the four week service direct from Jersey, with connections to Guernsey.

The company recently announced its direct flights to the Isle of Man would also be returning in April - at a £470 return cost.

It said the Luxembourg service would "provide easier access" specifically for the business community.

Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO, said it would allow business travellers to "maximise their valuable time away".

He said: "This enhanced connectivity could be a true enabler for industry across these jurisdictions.

"We are hopeful that this trial will attract sufficient demand to support the viability of a permanent direct service between the islands and Luxembourg."

Flights will take place every Tuesday and Thursday beginning 14 May until 11 July, with a break for the May school half-term break.
