Pop-up exhibition to highlight Jersey artists

A pop-up exhibition featuring "surreal illustrations and collaged creatures" is taking place in Jersey.

Arthouse Jersey said the Embrace exhibition would provide local artists with "a space to showcase their work collaboratively".

It is a joint show with local artists Kelly Eastwood, Sam Greenwood and Kirstie Fulton offering islanders the chance to "learn about their craft".

It will take place at the Greve de Lecq Barracks on Saturday and Sunday.

Organisers said the exhibition would feature "surreal illustrations, collaged creatures and mindful methods".

Mr Greenwood said his work was a "process of quieting my thoughts".

He said: "I can always pour hours away swirling loops and lines without having to think about my next move.

"I have had a lot of interesting interpretations and to hear what others' imaginations bring to the forefront is always so interesting."

Ms Fulton said her art was "inspired by nature".

"I collage illustrations - starting out with Jersey wildlife, now featuring creatures from all around the globe," she said.

"I hope to inspire people to get creative by what they see in their environment."
