Rescue under way in Peru amid dangerous flooding

Heavy rains struck Peru, killing at least a dozen people, news agencies reported - and putting the capital, Lima, in danger of flooding.

On the outskirts, rescue attempts began to save those trapped by the fast-flowing muddy water.
