Strauss-Kahn lawyer vows to fight on as bail is denied
A court in New York has remanded IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn in custody on charges of sexual assault. The judge said Mr Strauss-Kahn, 62, is a flight risk.
He was arrested on Saturday after boarding a Paris-bound plane, and accused of trying to rape a hotel maid earlier in the day.
Mr Strauss-Kahn, who had been seen as a contender in France's 2012 presidential election, denies the allegations.
Speaking outside the court his defence lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said his client would fight the charges.
