Miami police shooting: 'Sir, why did you shoot me?'

A therapist has described being shot by Florida police while lying on the ground with his hands in the air.

Charles Kinsey, who works with people with disabilities, told WSVN television he was helping an autistic man who had wandered away from a facility.

Mobile phone video shows Mr Kinsey telling officers he is unarmed while his patient sits in the road playing with a toy truck.

North Miami Assistant Police Chief Neal Cuevas said officers were called out on Monday, following reports of a man threatening to shoot himself.
