Avicii's Wake Me Up has become one of the UK's biggest-selling singles of all time.
The 24-year-old Swedish DJ's track broke the million copy sales barrier on 6 October.
According to the Official Charts Company, external, it is only the 140th single to reach the milestone in British chart history.
Daft Punk's Get Lucky and Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke have also reached the million mark this year.
Avicii's single entered the Official UK singles chart at number one when it was released in July.
It has gone on to become the fastest-selling single of 2013 so far, shifting 267,000 copies in its first week.
"Having the fastest-selling record of 2013 is obviously a huge deal to me," Avicii told BBC Radio 1's Official Chart Show host Jameela Jamil at the time.
"I never thought being on the Official Chart was an option for my music.
"Dance music has its own things; we have our own charts and lists, so just having a number one is insane."
Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars, which is taken form their fourth studio album Eyes Open, has also broken through the million sales mark.
The track - which was originally released in 2006 - has appeared in the top 75 at least once in six out of the last seven years, according to the Official Charts Company.
Elton John's double A-side Something About The Way You Look Tonight/Candle In The Wind from 1997 is still the UK's biggest-selling single of all-time.
It has sold nearly five million copies since its release 16 years ago.
