Geordie Shore's Jay defends role in Magaluf video

Geordie Shore's Jay Gardner says he didn't try to stop a tourist performing sex acts in a Magaluf bar because it wasn't his place to "mother her".
The 28-year-old was filmed refusing to join in with the "mamading" where a woman carried out lewd acts on several men.
In a video, now being investigated by Spanish police, he is seen sticking his middle finger up at the woman.
Jay told Newsbeat the incident shouldn't have taken place,
He has also refused to rule out doing future promotional work in Magaluf.
The bar crawl happened about three weeks ago.
"I did not suggest this game - nor did I take part in this game.
"I just happened to get approached at the end and was like 'thanks but no thanks'.
"I'm certainly not out there to be mothering that girl. I'm there as part of the bar crawl and I'm not mothering anybody who wants to do what they wanna do."
'Cheering and egging on'
Newsbeat has tried to contact Carnage Magaluf, who are said to have organised the event, but so far they have not responded.
Jay said the 'game', as he described it, was more extreme than anything else he'd seen at the resort.
"Everyone is over 18 and anyone can do what they do, but the atmosphere at the time... I'll be honest a lot of people were cheering and egging on.
"It shouldn't have happened but what can you do?
"Everyone's mentioned (the woman) but obviously there were lads queuing up to be involved and that's bad as well.
"People have criticised me just for being there but I was there among another 275 people. You can't control what people want to do when they're on holiday.
"There's nothing I can do. I can't mother."
Jay admitted that sticking his middle finger up "doesn't look respectful" but said he was just trying to make the point that he didn't want to get involved.
