He's got a beard, looks like your dad, loves pottering around his greenhouse and he's LEFT wing. Got that?

Yes, the media is obsessed by the unexpected rise in popularity of the old-school Labour man. So what is Jeremy Corbyn actually promising?

This page will tell you where he stands on some of the issues you actually care about*.

*And we're not sure his beard is keeping you awake at night.

Before the general election we polled 6,000 18 to 24-year-olds in the biggest survey of its kind, carried out by ComRes.

They had to choose three government priorities from a list of 12.

The big topics were the NHS, the cost of living and education.

So here's where Jeremy stands on these issues.

Jeremy Corbyn is against government spending cuts and says he'll protect public services and increase taxes for wealthy people.

He wants to end all private sector involvement in the NHS and would push to bring health and social care together in one service.

In power, he says he would introduce a £10 living wage for all workers and that he'd ban zero-hours contracts.

He would also equalise Jobseekers Allowance for people of all ages.

And he'd let the Bank of England "print money" - a "people's QE" to fund extra spending on building homes and investing in green industries.

Corbyn says he would set up a Living Rent Commission to oversee rent controls and cap rent increases.

On education he would scrap tuition fees and bring back the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).

Random Jeremy fact: Charlotte Church loves him. In fact he pretty much bosses the race when it comes to (Labour) celebrity endorsements.
