Children around the world must learn how to swim

Swimming is something that we do to have fun and stay fit and healthy but a new report says more kids around the world need to be taught how to stop them drowning.

The World Health Organisation says that drowning is a major cause of death for children and young people in parts of African and Asia in particular.

This is because they don't learn how to swim or stay safe around water in school and, often, don't recognise the dangers of water.

Ricky's been looking into what can be done to keep more kids safe.
