Zayn and the boys have recorded four albums and have picked up awards all over the world including five BRITs

In 2013 1D released a 3D concert film called One Direction: This Is Us

Zayn has fans all over the world and will be missed by many Directioners

In a statement Zayn said "I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right."
