The Queen married her husband, Prince Philip in 1947. Her Majesty wasn't Queen then - and he wasn't a prince! They were known as Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten. They tied the knot at Westminster Abbey. And this year celebrated 70 years of marriage!

Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011. People in more than 180 countries watched the ceremony which took place in Westminster Abbey. It's a famous church that's been used for at least 16 royal weddings! After the ceremony, the happy couple came out to the balcony at Buckingham Palace to greet the crowds, but the noise was a bit too much for Kate's three-year old goddaughter, Grace!

In 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, Pippa Middleton married James Matthews. Not exactly a royal wedding, but close! Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte took part in their aunt's wedding as a page boy and bridesmaid.

Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 in a wedding that included over 3,500 guests. It was watched by 750 million people all around the world. Just a few years later, Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William and then Prince Harry. On the left of this picture you can see Queen Elizabeth II in bright blue.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles got married in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall in 2005. They're now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. The Duchess' engagement ring used to belong to previous members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother.

Zara Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne and a grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, married former England rugby union player Mike Tindall in Edinburgh in 2011. The two met during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Zara is a skilled horse rider. The year after she got married she won a silver medal at the Olympic Games as part of the Great Britain Eventing Team.

This wedding, in 1956, was one of the most famous of all time. American actress Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco after an eight-month romance. The ceremony was called the "wedding of the century".
