David Attenborough turns 93: Look back at his work

Sir David Attenborough is celebrating his 93rd birthday today.

The naturalist first appeared on our screens more than 60 years ago, on a black and white programme called Zoo Quest.

Since then he has inspired lots of people, including wildlife presenter Steve Backshall.

His work on the BBC program Blue Planet II also helped to highlight the problem of plastic in the ocean.
