Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic rocket ship reaches the edge of space

It's one giant leap for tourism as Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic rocket ship has successfully reached the edge of space for the first time.

It was the company's fourth attempt to get passengers flying on a rocket and is a historic moment for space tourism.

It carried two pilots and a mannequin named Annie as a stand-in passenger, as well as four research experiments for Nasa.
