Galapagos iguanas: the lizards heading home to Santiago Island

These land iguanas are getting a new lease of life on one of the most famous natural habitats on earth.

The Galapagos islands are a group of islands in the Pacific off the coast of South America.

They're world famous because of the animal life found there.

Famous evolutionary scientist Charles Darwin logged iguanas on Santiago Island when he was there, but human visitors also brought cats, rats and other animals that preyed on them, and wiped them out.

Now scientists are trying to bring them back home.
