Madagascar: Teens learning how to protect forest with new ways of farming

Madagascar's animals and lush rain forest are being threatened by farming techniques.

Big areas are being cut for new land to farm but this destroys habitat for animals like lemurs which live there.

Now teenagers are being taught how to grow food without cutting trees down.

It's hoped that by doing this the island's famously rich biodiversity is protected.

BBC Science Correspondent Victoria Gill went to Madagascar to find out more.
