One Direction reunion: Are they getting back together?

One Direction have been on a break since 2016, but is a reunion on the cards? There have been been plenty of rumours in recent years, and now some of the boys themselves are hinting that it could be happening.

This year marks 10 years since the band - made up of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik - got put together on TV show, The X Factor.

During an Instagram Live on Sunday, Liam seemed to confirm that the band will be reuniting to celebrate the anniversary.

"I can't say too much. Louis told me off for revealing a bit of our plans the other day, so you're going to have the group chat telling me off," he said.

Liam had also previously told The Sun in an interview that "we've got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we've all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice."

"You hear a lot of people's voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven't seen for a long time or never seen before, it's very interesting."

It's not the first time rumours of a reunion have been flying around. In the past few weeks, fans have been saying that Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, have all started re-following Zayn Malik on social media.

It's thought the boys fell out when Zayn originally left the band in 2015.

And, in March, Niall also sparked rumours that the band could be getting back together.

Niall appeared on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, and as part of a segment with a lie detector, he admitted that he thinks the group will get back together.

Niall also said about his time in the band: "It's only looking back now I realise how lucky we were. There was no-one doing stadiums at the time. It was just insane."
