Sprinter Amy Hunt has won Great Britain's second silver medal in the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

Amy came second in the women's 200m race with a time of 22.14 seconds, with USA's Melissa Jefferson-Wooden taking first place, and Jamaica's Shericka Jackson in third.

Fellow GB sprinter Dina Asher-Smith finished fifth.

Speaking to BBC Sport after her race, 23-year-old Amy said: "I have not stopped smiling or crying!

"I knew I could do it - as long as I put in a good turn and was with them off the bend. I am so proud of myself.

"I am showing you that you can do everything, anything that you set your mind to, you can be the best at everything."

Earlier this week Jake Wightman won GB's first medal of the competition, by coming second in the men's 1500m race.

Friday's events also included the men's 200m final, and sprinter Zharnel Hughes finished in fifth place for Great Britain with a season best time of 19.78 seconds.

However, the winner of that race was US sprinting superstar Noah Lyles who won gold, and has now equalled Usain Bolt's record of four world 200m title wins in a row!
