If you love a trip to the cinema, then we've got you covered for 2025!

Pass the popcorn! If you love watching movies, then you're in for a treat in 2025!

Next year sees the release of a whole host of new movies, from spectacular sequels like The Bad Guys 2, to live action re-makes like Lilo & Stitch, as well as book and video game adaptations like Dog Man and The Minecraft Movie!

So, as we wave goodbye to 2024 and epic releases like Inside Out 2, Despicable Me 4, we've got a handy top ten guide to help you get excited for what's in store for 2025!

Snow White - live action remake

Up first is Disney's new live-action remake of Snow White.

The original animated movie came out in 1937, and was inspired by a story written by the Brothers Grimm in the 1800s.

It follows the story of Snow White who has to flee her home, after her step mother becomes jealous of her beauty.

In the new live-action remake Snow White is played by singer and actress Rachel Zegler (who also starred in Spellbound and The Hunger Games: A ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and the evil queen is played by Gal Gadot (who also starred in Wonderwoman).

The movie is set to be released on 21 March 2025.

The Minecraft Movie

If you're a fan of gaming, as well as movies, then The Minecraft Movie should be up your street.

The upcoming film is based on the game which is played by hundreds of millions of people around the world.

The new movie follows a group of humans who are pulled through a portal into the Overworld, a crazy colourful cube-filled land driven by imagination.

Along the way they meet expert-crafter Steve (played by Jack Black - from Kung-Fu Panda and School of Rock), as they learn about themselves on their journey back home.

The movie is set to be released on 4 April 2025.

Elio

If epic space adventure is more your thing then Disney Pixar's new film Elio might tick the box.

It follows the story of a space-obsessed boy named Elio who accidentally becomes the ambassador for planet Earth after being beamed up by aliens to the Communiverse - an interplanetary organisation with representatives from galaxies far and wide.

Elio is voiced by Yonas Kibreab, who starred in the new Star Wars spin off series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The movie is set to be released on 13 June 2025.

How to Train Your Dragon - live action remake

That's right, if you loved the How to Train Your Dragon animated movie by DreamWorks, and the book series by Cressida Cowell, then you might be pleased to hear that a live-action remake is heading to the cinemas in 2025.

The story centres around a young viking boy named Hiccup who befriends an injured dragon named Toothless, despite his family and friends warning him that dragons are dangerous.

The new movie will star actor Mason Thames as Hiccup, and actor Gerard Butler, will be returning to play Hiccup's dad - after he voiced the character in the animated film.

The movie is set to be released on 13 June 2025.

Lilo & Stitch - live action remake

Snow White isn't the only Disney movie to get a live-action remake this year, as Lilo & Stitch is also heading to cinemas in 2025.

The movie is a remake of the 2002 animated film which follows the story of a little girl named Lilo from Hawaii, who befriends a chaotic alien named Stitch after mistaking him for a dog at an animal shelter.

The two team-up together to out-smart an alien organisation.

Chris Sanders - the original voice actor for Stitch - is returning to voice the little alien again, and Lilo will be played by Maia Kealoha.

The movie is set to be released on 23 May 2025.

Dog Man

If you're a fan of Captain Underpants, then get ready for this woof-tastic spin-off movie.

Dog Man is based on the graphic novel series by Dav Pilkey, and follows the story of human police officer Knight and his dog Greg, who after getting injured in an accident, become Dog Man.

After a villainous cat named Petey threatens to bring chaos to the world, Dog Man steps up to bring him to paw-stice.

The movie is set to be released in the UK on 7 February 2025.

Wicked: For Good

That's right, if you can't get enough of Wicked, then fear not, 2025 sees the return of Elphaba and Glinda for part two of the Wizard of Oz prequel.

The Wicked movies follow the story of two women named Elphaba and Glinda as they set out on a magical journey to discover who they are, before the events of The Wizard of Oz take place.

Superstar singers and actresses Cynthia Eviro and Ariana Grande will return to play Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked: For Good.

The movie is set to be released on 21 November 2025.

The Bad Guys 2

The Bad Guys are back

If you enjoyed the first Bad Guys movie then you'll be pleased to hear that a sequel is on the way!

Mr Wolf, Mr Shark, Mr Snake, Mr Piranha and Ms Tarantula are back, and will be joined by a few new characters in this movie.

The film picks up after the events of the previous movie, with The Bad Guys turning over a new leaf to be good guys.

But, after being kidnapped by a new group of criminals called The Bad Girls, will the Bad Guys slip back into their old ways again...?

The movie is set to be released on 1 August 2025.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps

If you love action and superheroes, then Marvel's next offering, Fantastic Four: First Steps could be up your street.

The movie follows the story of superheroes Mister Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing as they take on the villainous Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

The new movie features Pedro Pascal (the Mandalorian) Who voiced Fink in Wild Robot) as Mister Fantastic.

The movie is set to be released on 25 July 2025.

Zootopia 2

Fans will get more of the adventures of Judy and Nick

Finally, Disney's hit movie Zootopia is getting a sequel in 2025.

Bunny officer Judy Hopps and sly fox Nick Wilde are back, and this time they have to go undercover in an area called Marsh Market to crack a mysterious new case on the trail of a snake called Gary.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman will return to voice Judy and Nick, as will singer Shakira as pop sensation Gazelle.

The cast will also be joined by Ke Huy Quan (Who voiced Han in Kung Fu Panda 4) as Gary the snake.

The movie is set to be released on 26 November 2025.
