Snow and severe flooding are continuing to affect the UK.

The extreme weather has caused some schools to close and weather warnings for snow and ice, and flood alerts, are in place across many areas.

Weather forecasters predict the next two days will see the coldest nights of the year.

Temperatures are expected to fall as low as -20C in some areas, including the Pennines in the North of England and parts of Scotland.

One of the areas that's been badly affected by the weather is the county of Lincolnshire in England.

Theo, along with 50 other classmates, needed help on Monday after their school was cut off by floodwater.

It's not just people being helped, as animals in affected areas have also had to be rescued.

The volunteers at a farm, not far away from Theo's school, were helping ponies, goats, chickens and sheep who had all become stuck in floodwater.

An amber cold health alert, covering all regions of England, is in place until midday on Sunday.

These alerts help people to prepare and stay safe in the cold weather.
