An unexpected passenger has caused a stir on Prague's metro.

The passenger - a cheeky pup on an adventure - caused major delays on Prague's green metro line A after he ran into a tunnel on the tracks.

All Metro trains along the line were stopped as firefighters, police and the trapping service attempted to catch the dog.

But, the speedy stray was hard to catch and dashed along the track for hours!

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic, with around one million people using the metro system each day.

The unexpected four-legged commuter took hours to catch, leaving the metro system disrupted for hours.

Finally, after nearly six hours the pup was safely caught, but not before local media gave it the nickname Metrouš.

Let's hope this pawsenger doesn't try to catch the metro again anytime soon!
