How Cinnamon the capybara's zoo escape inspired a cartoon

Do you remember when Cinnamon the capybara escaped her zoo enclosure and went on a week-long adventure?

Well now you can relive her escapade in a special cartoon on YouTube. It'll even be shown in selected cinemas.

Her story captured the attention of the world after she made a run for it from Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World in Shropshire in September 2024.

It's led to internet memes, a song, a book and now her very own cartoon.

We're not spoiling the story by telling you Cinnamon's Big Adventure ends with her returning home after exploring woods and marshes, "living her best life", as the zoo owner, Will Dorrell, described it at the time.

He said: "When Cinnamon escaped, she quickly captured the hearts of people all around the world.

"We can't wait for families to enjoy it on YouTube and then experience it on the big screen. It really is a pinch me moment."

The money raised from the book, also called Cinnamon's Big Adventure, has been reinvested into the zoo.

They've already bought a new pond for the capybara family this summer.
