Graziano's history on Strictly Come Dancing
Graziano first joined the Strictly line-up in 2018 as the partner of radio DJ Vick Hope.
He stayed with the show for two more years but did not have a celebrity partner. In 2021 he then danced with comedian Judi Love.
He returned in 2022, paired with actress Kym Marsh, and reached the quarter-finals.
Last year, he danced with TV presenter Zara McDermott.
In his statement, he said he understood that it was "best for the show that I step away".
He said: “I wish the Strictly family and the BBC nothing but success in the future. I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career, both professionally and personally. When the time is right, I will share my story.”
Last month, the show confirmed that Giovanni Pernice would not be part of the 2024 series.
The Italian professional dancer has been on the show since 2015, winning it in 2021 with actress Rose Ayling-Ellis.
The news comes weeks after he denied reports about his teaching methods on the show.
Giovanni had said earlier that he was surprised by the allegations and rejected "any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour".
