If you've ever got your hands on a Rubik's Cube, you'll know that the handheld puzzle can be quite tricky to complete.

Made only more frustrating, when you hear that a robot can complete one in less than a second!

But, don't worry if your dream is to hold a cube record, you don't need to be that quick.

An 11-year-old boy has just broken the record for the largest mosaic made using the puzzles.

Henil used 3,000 of the cubes to create a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

He took on the challenge at his school in front of his family and friends, completing it in under an hour.

This beat his own personal record which he set earlier this year, when he made a portrait of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Henil said: "I feel very proud of myself."

Henil's family had to clear a room to make space for a mosaic of Rishi Sunak

Henil's mum said that he first started playing with the puzzles when he was five, then started to pick up tips and tricks from YouTube videos.

Breaking a record like this also requires a lot of space, his family removed furniture from their living room to give him enough space to make a portrait of former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Of course, it also needs a lot of cubes, his mum said she spent around £3,000 to make sure he had enough for the record attempt.

The previous record for the largest mosaic made from Rubik's Cubes was set by a seven-year-old from India in 2023, using just over 1,000 cubes according to the Golden Book of World Records.
