What happened on the final day of President Trump's UK state visit?

After staying overnight in Windsor Castle on Wednesday, the US president and first lady had a busy second day of engagements on the final day of his state visit to the UK.
After posing for a final picture and saying his goodbyes to the King and Queen, President Trump then headed to meet Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
He made the short journey from Windsor Castle to Chequers, the country home of the British prime minister, by his special helicopter, called Marine One.
Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Lady Victoria gave President Trump a warm welcome, showing him around the residence and the historical archives of former UK prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill.

What did Trump and Starmer announce?

Donald Trump and Sir Keir Starmer announced a technology agreement between the two countries
Later in the day, Starmer and Trump held talks and attended a business reception hosted by the UK Chancellor.
They signed a new technology partnership, which Starmer said would see billions flowing "both ways of the Atlantic".
The partnership, which has been called the "Tech Prosperity Deal", will see the UK and US co-operate in areas including artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing and nuclear power.
Alongside that, a number of big American tech companies announced they'll be making investments in the UK.
Both leaders praised the "special relationship" and "unbreakable bond" between the US and UK.

Next, the two men took part in a joint news conference where they faced questions from journalists.
They were asked lots of questions on issues like the war in Ukraine, Gaza and immigration.
Trump also spoke about how much he'd enjoyed his visit, especially his time at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
"What a place it is," he said, calling the military parade "one of the most magnificent sights we've seen".

Meanwhile his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, stayed at Windsor taking a visit to the Royal Library and Queen Mary's Dolls' House with the Queen.
She later joined the Princess of Wales and 20 Squirrel Scouts in Frogmore Gardens on the Windsor Castle estate, who were taking part in nature activities to earn their Go Wild badges.

Following the day's activities, President Trump and First Lady Melania headed to London's Stansted Airport by helicopter.
There, Air Force One - the official aircraft of the US president - was waiting to take them back to the US.
They waved goodbye as they boarded the plane and started their journey back home, bringing an end to the president's state visit.
