Pommel horse guy

American gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik has taken the internet by storm.

He's a pommel horse specialist, which means he only performs in that event - and he does it VERY well.

His incredible performance in the men's team finals led the USA to their first Olympic medal in 16 years.

But it's his personality off the horse that people love - he's been spotted solving a Rubik's cube in under ten seconds while waiting to get on the apparatus, and having a little nap until it's his time to shine.

Some people have started calling him Clark Kent, Superman's alter-ego, as they say with glasses on he seems like a normal, sweet guy, but as soon as they come off he's a pommel horse machine!

He's said he doesn't need to see when performing routines, as he can feel his way around the equipment.

He told a US talk show: “I don’t even really see when I’m doing my gymnastics. It’s all in the hands. I can feel everything.”

The GOAT

We couldn't talk about gymnastics without taking about Simone Biles.

She's won three gold medals and a silver, cementing herself once and for all as the Greatest Of All Time - aka, the GOAT.

And, after she won a spectacular gold in the all around final, Simone put on a custom-made diamond goat necklace to show the world she knows it too.

She told journalists later on: "It's a little ode... a lot of people love it. They always call me the GOAT, so I thought it would be really special if I got one made.

"The haters hate it, but I like that even more."

South Korean pistol shooter Kim Ye-ji is also getting a lot of love online after people talked about her cool and calm shooting but also her incredible drip.

She wears a special headset called a 'blinder' that helps her aim, and a stuffed elephant toy her daughter gave her on her hip.

There's a mystery sweeping the Olympic Village. Athletes have been turning up for their meals, only to find all the delicious chocolate muffins have disappeared.

Okay it's not really a mystery at all, it's Henrik Christiansen eating them all and the whole world knows it.

He's a swimmer from Norway, but it's not his performance in the pool that's making waves - his love for the chocolate muffins has captured the hearts and minds of Olympic fans everywhere.

Gabriel Medina can not only surf, but also fly it seems

Brazil's Gabriel Medina got the highest single wave score in Olympic history in the qualification rounds, but that's not why he went viral.

When he was posing for a celebratory picture after catching the wave, he was snapped suspended in mid-air, as if he was flying - he definitely must have felt like he was after scoring so high!

Skyball!

In beach volleyball, there are a number of different types of serve you can use, but perhaps none are quite as cool, or unique, as the 'skyball'.

It's a high, almost vertical serve that can throw an opponent off balance.

It's the signature move of Italy's Adrian Carambula, who is now known as 'Mr Skyball'.
